fkelly,
Are you useing Dynamic Titles for your G2?

The method of changing the title area in the theme.tpl does not seem to work on mine. It worked fine on the older RN. Just curious if it is me....or everyone.

Dawg: no I never use dynamic titles and have never edited a theme.tpl file (or even looked at one) so I can't help with this issue.

No biggie....I am thinking it is related to this overall issue.

I just switched to Ravenice on one of my sites and then the Gallery main page comes out with terribly small fonts. Switch back to fisubice or another theme and the Gallery page shows normally. I'd bet anything that the problem relates to css styles overwriting each other since Ravenice uses a lot of them. And I think you are right too Dawg, probably the tpl file is not getting loaded (I'm not sure how those files work ... do they get used to create a css file or do they load directly?) even if you have edited it.

Perhaps you see what you are predisposed to see, but I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion that trying to so-called integrate big complicated products like PHPBB and Gallery into *nuke is a loser idea. Unless the authors of those products commit to the project it seems really problematic to keep the integration running across multiple product releases. Nukedgallery.net seems dead in the water and I don't think any of us over here at RN have the time or expertise to be spelunking around Gallery code in enough detail to handle all the different circumstances that can happen.

Zero, I removed one line from your post that exposed your path.

As to these errors I would check the Gallery web site. In my experience a lot of Gallery errors are the result of privileges and permissions problems and can be a P.I.T.A to resolve. You can also go into maintenance mode on Gallery and delete cache and see if that helps ... if you can even get in there without the errors showing.

thnx must have missed it.

The only thing that my host has done, is move me to another diskstation on the server.
Probably the cache could be the "problem"

according to a post i found on the nuked gallery, some one else has the same, is could be a folder permission issue (eg the safe_mode, but safe mode is off and all ownerships are mine.

now find a way to clear the cache........
the standalone does the same.....

i will go poke around in the database.
first backup..... lol speedtype

Right on the Gallery maintenance screens there are options to clear the various forms of cache. I'd suggest clearing them all. Good luck. I don't want to admit how much time I wasted on permissions issues before Raven moved to PHPSUEXEC on his servers. Since then not a hint.

problem solved.

did the install script again.
kept the excisting dbase tables.

everything works again

think it has to do with the move to another disk on the server.
grmbl. this is the second time that gallery is giving problems with this.

first a move to a new server
now a with a change of disk.
its starting to p*** me off Twisted Evil

With RavenNuke never had this kind of problems.

It was definitely a permissions issue. Had this happen to me just this past week when I personally horked up my permissions at the account level. Glad this fixed it.

Yes, it fixed it.

But with the serverchange, ok I buy that
But with a 1 to 1 move to another disk, with all permissions right At serverside and the chmod (checked every file/folde by hand)

Already opened up my shed to grab a big hammer..........

With the reinstall i read something about the structure of the g2data folder...
can't really recall it.

Read this on a thead on the gallery main site, not the same issue but what the heck, can't f*** it up any further Laughing.

The Gallery data folder is extremely complex. If you ever browse around there with an FTP client you will see what I mean. I will take you at your word that you checked every file/folder by hand but to do so you must have spent hours. There can be thousands if not tens of thousands of individual files with cryptic names. Most of these are just caching something or other. If you have a recursive chmod tool that really works it can be a solution but in a lot of cases on shared hosts you need to have your host chmod things. And even then, if it gets fouled up once it can get fouled up again.

Before Raven put in PHPSUEXEC on his servers I spent days trying to deal with permissions problems. After that I haven't spent minutes. So, this stuff can work but you need the right server setup. I'd be skeptical that any server to server or disk to disk move is going to work right.

That was the problem with the g2data i think.
There where just a few files and folders in it Shocked

prob. the disk move messed it up.

The next time i will "reinstall" the gallery. Wink

I got it working fine now with ravennuke 2.4. i just like to know what i did is correct or not. if anyone can verify i will be most grateful Smile

Here is what i did.

01.) i copied the index.php (gallery2 index) code from:
Only registered users can see links on this board!

02.) i added this code to RN header.php

Code:
if (defined('G2HEADER_CSS_JS')) {
         echo "\n". G2HEADER_CSS_JS;
   }

right after

Code:
$addons = readDIRtoArray(INCLUDE_PATH . 'includes/addons', '/^body\-(.+)\.php/');
   foreach ($addons as $addon) {
      include_once INCLUDE_PATH . 'includes/addons/'.$addon;
   }

did i do it correctly? its seems to work ok.
